Yoga, {yoke} is a disciplined approach to simplifying one’s consciousness and energy to the point, where we no longer experience any inner conflict and are able to live in harmony with the world, Transcending the ego, simultaneously realizing the self or spirit. The earliest beginnings of Yoga and its traditions can be found in the sacrificial ritualism of the Vedic people, who practiced a spirituality that acknowledges the vital connection between the visible and invisible realms. It is the harnessing or restraining of the senses and the mind so as to yield a quiet inner-space. The mind flutters here and there like a bird, but only in the depth of the still heart can the liberating truth be found. It can be obtained or attained “only by the one whom IT chooses. There must be Grace.

The fundamentals for accomplishing this spiritual work are: breath control, sense withdrawal, meditation, concentration, inquiry and ecstasy. This Wisdom is the identification with the unitary essence of all objects. Wisdom that is a direct apprehension of Reality or Self-Realization. Every particle in this body is continually changing; no-one has the same body for many minutes together. If you really find out what you are, you will see that you are not an individual, you are not a person, you are not a body. People who cling to their body are not fit for this knowledge. Everything that is not self is illusion. Self realization or enlightenment is our awakening from that dream.
Dispassion or non-attachment is one of the keystones of spiritual life. Engaging in action devoid of attachment, lessening lawlessness, increasing virtue, which, leads to harmony.
“So great is his passion for God that it consumes all his earthly passions”
… The man who is filled with such a passion does not experience it merely as an undercurrent of joy which waters the depths of his heart in his own privacy, but as a torrent that overflows the caverns of his heart into all his senses. Through all his senses he realizes it as if it were a sensuous delight, with his heart and soul he feels it as a spiritual intoxication of joy. Such a person is beside himself with this love of God.
He sings, laughs, dances and weeps; he is no longer a person of this world.

The idea behind Hatha Yoga is that a frail or diseased body can prove a serious obstacle on the path to liberation and that therefore the body must be properly trained. This training is particularly important in Hatha Yoga because at the core of this spiritual discipline is a potentially dangerous process known as the awakening of the Kundalini-Shakti{serpent powers}. This is the arousal of the power of the consciousness in the lowest psycho spiritual center{chakra}Of the body and its conduction to the highest center at the crown of the head. If the body is not prepared, the awakened Kundalini can cause tremendous physical and mental problems. The knowers who have seen the truth will instruct you in Wisdom, when the student is ready the teacher will appear. Mere intellectual knowledge is not adequately transformative. Thru the conjunction of study and yoga, the supreme self manifests. Put the heart above the head, experience above thought, As a Disciple endowed with great energy and enthusiasm, intelligent, heroic, learned in the scriptures, having the inclination to practice, free from delusion, unconcerned, eating moderately, with senses under control, fearless, pure, skill-full, and giving; a shelter for all people. The initiation always implies a reordering of energies and purposes. The five groups are the body, sensations, perceptions, thoughts, and consciousness. Yogic morality is the recognition of the universal self in all other beings. Perhaps later there will be ecstatic harmonies beyond the description of words in which the good and evil of the world will be revealed as the mysterious two hands of god. Only the soul that has honestly cast out greed and deception may begin the ascent.
